Six years ago, I went on a weekend-long women's retreat - Journey to Self . I spent a weekend with an amazing group of women who overcame their false perceptions of self and discovered their truths.
At the close of the weekend, we were instructed to write a note to each lady about what we saw in them.
Discovering these notes again reminded me how extraordinary I am. Sometimes we need to recall the greatness others see in ourselves, even when we don't acknowledge what is staring at us in the mirror. These notes provoked a time of reflection - I thought about both my strength and my growth over the last few years.
It was also a reflection of how much I have grown over the last few years. I've enjoyed this journey to self. It brought peace, an increase of self-worth, joy and love. It helped me to embrace those things and people who brought positive energy, encouraged and enhanced my growth. This journey also helped me to identify those things and people who were toxic and needed to be eliminated.
I no longer live under the radar. I am walking in my truth and it feels amazing!
